2ND SHORT-TERM EXCHANGES OF GROUPS OF PUPILS IN YORDAN YOVKOV PRIMARY SCHOOL, VARNA, BULGARIA FROM 26TH – 30TH MAY 2018
The main purpose of mobility is to present science and natural sciences to the participants through different activities. Our goal is to increase their interest and for them to gain knowledge and competences on these fields so that they would later consider the possibility to choose a career in science or natural sciences. For this reason, we will visit and do our researches in an astronomy observatory, an aquarium and different eco-systems in Bulgaria. We will also do a demonstration of STEM experiments and robots at a science fair. We also wish the participants to get to know cultural differences to build on their social tolerance and a sense of equality between nations, to be more flexible in a joined European community, to have a greater confidence at work, co-operation and communication in a cultural mixed group that also encourages their language learning progress.
1st Short-term exchanges of groups of pupils in Primary School Fran Metelko Škocjan, Škocjan51, 8275 Škocjan, Slovenia from 21th – 26th March 2018
- Purpose of the activity:
-"Fossil Hunting" Children have learned how scientists work and what scienctific work looks like when investigating fossils.
- "Nature of Science""activities were designed for children to understand "Nature of Science"
-visiting car factory; They have connected the subject with the robotics course to real life.
-1st. science fair was organised by students with the participation of local authors, parents and visitors. Students represented their project to the visitors so that, they were involved into scientific activities and they were communicating in native language and in English.
